Just like in western astrology, Human Design has its own set of transits. These are moments when the sun, moon and planets move through different gates in your Human Design chart. When these gates are activated, they influence your energy, much like how astrological transits impact your zodiac sign.
Late Saturday, the sun moved into Gate 6, where it will stay until midday Friday, September 20, 2024 (CDT).
In traditional Human Design, this is the Gate of Friction, also known as the Gate of Discernment. Gate 6 represents emotional energy around relationships, both intimate and social, encouraging us to be more thoughtful about who we connect with and how.
Lately, things have felt volatile, between the election here in the U.S. and an increasing sense of inner turmoil many are experiencing.
A quote from Christie Inge about Gate 6 really resonated with me: "Use conflict as a gateway into peace."
During a recent meditation I led with my sister circle, this theme really hit home. We were guided to meet our oldest self, who expressed how proud she was of us, and our five-year-old self, who was amazed by all we’ve accomplished.
It was an incredibly powerful reminder that even during moments of inner turmoil, these feelings are temporary. It’s also an invitation to find peace and to be the love and grace we’re desiring.
Finding peace can be tough when it feels like everyone is disagreeing about the direction that the sun rises making the world feel loud and chaotic.
But we can't truly step into who we're meant to be without self-compassion. Being curious about what you need right now can bring you back a few minutes of peace in your day.
There’s been so much external turmoil lately, on top of the larger national and world conflicts.
As the leaves begin to fall and the energy shifts to a slower, earthy rhythm, I’ve been turning back to the practices that ground me most this time of year.
Morning meditation, EFT tapping and journaling are helping me feel more centered, especially when my anxiety feels like it’s at a 9.
