Lesson 3: What role are you meant to play?
What if you could uncover the role you’re here to play in life and the purpose guiding your journey?
That’s what your Profile and Incarnation Cross reveal in Human Design.
Your Profile shapes the how—the way you naturally express yourself and engage with life.
Your Incarnation Cross provides the why—the bigger themes and purpose that guide your journey. Together, they offer a powerful roadmap for living more aligned.
For me, learning my Profile (I’m a 5/1) was a game-changer. As a 5, I naturally step into leadership roles and solve practical problems for others.
But here’s the catch: if I try to solve problems I’m not excited about—or aren’t mine to solve—I feel completely drained and burned out. Once I started saying yes only to the problems I truly wanted to solve, I found so much more energy in my life and my work.
Here are a few examples of Profiles in action:
✨ 1/3 Profile: Curious learners who thrive on mastering details and sharing their discoveries.
✨ 2/4 Profile: Natural harmonizers who shine when they balance their alone time with meaningful connections.
✨ 3/5 Profile: Experimenters who learn through trial and error, showing others what works along the way.
✨ 4/6 Profile: Relationship-driven leaders who find success through community and long-term vision.
✨ 5/1 Profile: Visionary problem-solvers who shine when they focus on practical solutions.
Your Profile gives you insight into how you’re designed to engage with the world, while your Incarnation Cross points to the larger themes of your life’s purpose. Together, they offer a powerful way to step into your role with confidence.
For me, my Incarnation Cross of Separation guides the why behind my Profile. My Life’s Work is all about creating clarity and inspiring transformative changes.
Through distancing myself from patterns and relationships that no longer serve me, I’ve learned to help others create a more meaningful and aligned future. This process allows me to show others how to let go of what’s no longer working and embrace their unique path.
