Lesson 4: Your Biggest Lessons

Have you ever walked into a room and felt the energy instantly? Like you just know there’s tension—or maybe excitement—even before anyone says a word?

That’s the magic of Undefined Centers in Human Design. These are the shapes in your chart that appear white and where you’re open to the energy around you. You can absorb it, amplify it, and even reflect it back. It’s why some people feel everything so deeply when they’re in certain spaces.

Take my husband, for example. He has an undefined Emotional Center, which means he can feel everyone’s emotions as if they’re his own. When myself or my daughter are in a heightened emotional state, he knows it’s sometimes best to step away for his own clarity. He’s learned to recognize what’s his and what isn’t, which has been such a gift for all of us.

Undefined Centers can feel overwhelming at first, but when you understand them, they become sources of wisdom.
