Lesson 5: Where does your power lie?

Let’s talk about Defined Centers—the parts of your Human Design chart where your energy is steady and reliable.

These appear as the colored shapes in your chart and represent your natural strengths—the places where your energy is consistent and grounded.

For me, my defined Identity Center is an anchor. It’s what keeps me deeply connected to who I am, even when life pulls me in different directions.

Growing up, I often felt like I was being asked to fit into a mold, to do things the way you’re supposed to. But that’s never been who I am.

My Identity Center reminds me that I’m meant to be my original, unique self. The more I embrace this, the more aligned I feel.

Think about this: if you have a defined Sacral Center, you’re the kind of person others look to for steady energy and productivity.

Or if your Throat Center is defined, your words naturally carry weight and impact (even if you don’t realize it yet)

Defined Centers show us the parts of ourselves we can always lean on—they’re where our power lives.

Each one represents a consistent strength that others can count on, a part of you that brings stability and impact to every space you’re in.
